The Halloween party that I mentioned in a earlier post turned out to be a blast. I had gotten a little help ( okay a lot of help ) with cutting out and sewing my costume. I was thinking that, being just a long flowing cape with a hood, it shouldn't that hard to cut out and sew together. The pattern was marked as being easy. They lied, they lied, they lied !!! What's the most scary thing of my Halloween costume ? The fact that I am going to try and cut it out and sew it together. I have never made anything before ( sewing ) other then doing minor emergency repairs. This should be interesting.

It is amazing what some people will say with out even thinking. I went to pick up a pizza a couple of weeks ago. (and this sounds like a email joke that I got two days ago ) As I was standing there waiting for my order to be done. A woman walks in to pick up her order. They were just taking it out of the oven and the behind the counter guy asked the woman " how do you want your pizza cut? " Without thinking she said in triangles.

I have just learned; if you are cutting your own hair and you feel something fall on your back. Chances are it is the comb from the clippers !!
I had cut my hair the week before. And It looked really good. Except I missed a few hairs on the back side of my head. I could feel them every time that I washed my hair. SOOOOO. Since I did such a great job the first time I decided to take the clippers with the comb still on it and trim those few hairs.

The Northeast is in a chill. The temp. tonight is said to be going down to the mid 40's. It feels more like Sept or Oct. then July. Our highs have been only in the low to mid 70's. Every Sunday, weather permitting, I get together with a group of people to play volleyball. The games are for fun, exercise, and to get together with some friends. And at times cut throat. More so if the scores are close all during the game. Hard serves, spikes, setting the ball up to toss off the other side of the net. Etc. I like the rain. I like the clean smell that rain brings. How it washes away a lot of the dust that settles on things. How it makes the plants grow, how it keeps the lawn nice and green.
Enough already with the rain !!! I don't think we have had a single day that it has not rained in the last two weeks. Half of my lawn is mowed. Every time I can get to the other half to mow (time wise) it is raining. Or it has just stopped raining and everything is like a swamp.
